Since most cases proceed very slowly, you should not expect daily updates from your attorney. If you have the understanding that you will be updated when something changes on the case then you will be a much better client. Being a good client is the best way to have a great attorney. If you decide to bug your attorney every day, neither of you will be very happy.
One thing that people fail to realize is no lawyer can be an expert in everything. Having a good relationship with an attorney may cause you to think that that attorney can’t handle any case that comes up. This is a pitfall that most people fall into, and most attorneys dread.
